Continuing healthy habits is a life-long challenge. During
your stay, well help you prepare the mind as well
as the body.
Getting healthy is about more than just healing the body.
At The Rice Diet Program, we work to empower you with knowledge
and confidence. We provide information, instruction and
experiences designed to help you focus on taking care of
yourself.
Daily interactive educational groups teach skills designed
to help participants make the changes they desire and need.
Lectures covering topics in health, disease, nutrition,
stress management and exercise are offered. Dr.'s Rosati
and Neelon each provide weekly sessions fireside chats-
to answer questions and cover topics of particular interest.
Before your departure, explicit recommendations for continuing
your new lifestyle at home are also discussed.
Increased self-awareness is a prerequisite for making desired
changes. We teach patients the skills of mindfulness, which
makes the connection between mind and body clearer and stronger.
Professionally led groups and workshops provide experiences
with Yoga, expression, stress management and relaxation
techniques. Patients gain skills to understand their emotions
and often express their pleasure at feeling more self-integrated.
